The mechanic is saying, for sure its the pump. Not the pan. Not the sending unit. I was just gonna get a sending unit in case. I have an aftermarket gauge. It reads 11 when idle. Goes up to 20 when reved a little, but no higher. Then, if u leave the car on. After a few minutes, the pressure drops from 11, downward. Then the ticking arises, which he says is from the low oil pressure. When I did the rebuild...excuse me, when the idiotic theif friend that I had did my rebuild, no he did not change the oil pump from the blown engine that I bought. And, he stole my Wiseco Pistons and put in Top Line ones. So I gotta change those too. To my understanding, the Sender unit, is just the messenger to the guage. The stock gauge on my cluster, doesnt work AT ALL. So, I have the aftermarket one. I have a brand new oil pump sitting there to be installed. Since I am going to do a 3 angle valve job and a port n polish, seems like I should just change the pump..... right? I thought this engine would've been done by now =(
